A site investigation revealed elevated levels of BTEX and MTBE in groundwater. Baseline samples were collected prior to treatment, and a single BIOX treatment was conducted at the site. Post treatment sampling was conducted 23 days later.
A comparison of the pre- and post-injection analytical results showed reductions in the Total BTEX and MTBE concentrations. The following table shows the analytical results in mg/kg. Based on the significant reductions in contaminant concentrations, the environmental consultant elected to monitor the site to evaluate the effectiveness of the enhanced bioremediation component of the BIOX Process. The 45-Day sampling event showed that contaminant concentrations declined further.
